A real link, not an image
The widget is a real, clickable link to your Cantime entry, not just an image. That matters for your visibility in search engines.
Add a widget (copy-paste HTML)
Here is how you add a Cantime widget to your own website in a few minutes, no matter which builder it runs on.
Open the "Widgets" section in the partner portal and choose the widget type for your entry.
Copy the code snippet using the "Copy code" button next to the preview.
Paste the code into your website at the spot where the widget should appear, e.g. in an HTML block.
Save and publish the page. Then check that the widget displays correctly and links to your Cantime entry.
Example snippet
This is what a Cantime widget code looks like as an example. Your own code from the partner portal contains your personal token for your entry instead of the example token.

WordPress without a plugin (Custom HTML block)
You do not need a plugin for WordPress. The block editor (Gutenberg) has its own HTML block.
Open the page or post in the block editor and add a new block via the plus icon.
Search for "Custom HTML" and select that block.
Paste the copied Cantime code into the block’s text field.
Use the preview before you publish the page, to check the display.
Wix, Squarespace and Jimdo (embed block)
These website builders allow custom HTML code via an embed or HTML block. The name differs by provider.
Open your website editor and add a block at the desired spot: on Wix "Embed HTML", on Squarespace "Code Block", on Jimdo "HTML Element".
Paste the Cantime code from the partner portal into the block’s input field.
Save the block and publish the changes to your website.
Shopify (Liquid)
On Shopify you add the widget via your own Liquid section.
In the theme editor, go to "Edit code" and create a new file under "Sections", e.g. cantime-widget.liquid.
Paste the Cantime code from the partner portal there.
Add the new section in the theme editor at the desired spot, e.g. in the footer or on the contact page.

Which widgets are available
All widgets are free and stay up to date automatically based on your Cantime entry.
🏷️Status badge
- Shows at a glance whether your location is currently open or closed
- Updates automatically based on your stored opening hours
🕐Opening hours
- Shows your full weekly opening hours
- Ideal for your contact page or website footer
📍Branch overview
- Lists several locations with live rows: open or closed per branch
- Links each branch directly to its own Cantime entry
⭐Reviews
- Shows your star rating once your entry has at least 3 reviews
- Shows a "Rate us" call to action instead as long as you have fewer than 3 reviews
🏆Award
- Shows an award your entry has earned on Cantime
- Links to the public transparency page that explains how the award was determined
Why the link has to look like this
A Cantime widget is more than an image: it is a real link to your entry. For this link to serve its purpose, the code must not be changed.
Please do not change:
- Do not add rel="nofollow", otherwise the link no longer counts as an endorsement
- Do not use an iframe, the link has to be a real <a> element in the HTML
- Do not rewrite the anchor text or the title attribute
- Do not remove or change the image’s alt attribute
- Do not replace the href target with your own shortened or tracking link
Check the setup and losing the widget
After setting it up, open your published page and check that the badge, opening hours or branch overview display correctly and that clicking the widget leads to your Cantime entry.
If your entry is deleted, your account is suspended or the widget is removed in the partner portal, the display disappears automatically. The code on your website is not affected and can then be removed.
We check daily whether an installed widget is still being requested. If a previously working widget stops responding for 14 days in a row, we let you know about it in your partner portal inbox and by email.
